One simple reason: marriages improve faster with guidance and community.
After working with thousands of couples, we know two things:
First, marriages make faster progress with live coaching. Having a real coach speak to your real situation in real time is irreplaceable.
Second, couples make faster progress with the support of a group. You realize that you are not alone. You hear other stories and gain perspective. Most importantly, connect authentically with other couples and lift each other up in prayer.
Abundant Live combines both. The proven teachings from Abundant, plus four weeks of live group coaching with us and prayerful encouragement from the group.

Between calls, you work through The Heart of Abundant, our four-module mini-course drawn from the most transformative material inside Abundant. Eleven powerful lessons. Hi! We are Nathan and Sarah Bartel
We've been happily married for 25+ years. We're best friends, lovers, adventurers, and homeschooling parents of five on a mission to spread joy in marriage.
We did not always feel peace, joy, and connection in our own marriage. We have walked through unemployment, postpartum depression, anxiety, burnout, moves across the country, and the long stretches where we wondered where the spark went.
We found our way back to each other with the help of a retreat where we learned some simple, but powerful tools to cultivate our marriage and keep our love and connection, and sense of fun, thriving.

Questions you might be asking
How much time will Abundant Live take each week?
Plan on roughly 60 to 90 minutes for the live Monday call, and another 30 to 60 minutes during the week to work through the corresponding Heart of Abundant lesson and the couple homework. That is it. The whole experience is designed for busy people. You do not need to clear your whole calendar. You just need to do your best to join us on Monday evenings.
What if we cannot make a live call?
Show up live when you can. The calls are richer when you are in the room. When life happens, the recordings will be posted in the online community within a day, so you can catch up on your own time. You'll have lifetime access to these recordings.
What if my husband or wife is lukewarm about doing this?
We hear this often. Honestly, sometimes the most transformative thing one spouse can do is simply start. When one person begins to change the way they show up in a marriage, the dynamic almost always shifts. Nathan and Sarah can also speak to your situation directly in the live calls.
One of us is not Catholic. Will this still be a fit?
Yes! Abundant Live is faithfully and joyfully Catholic, and we never water that down. We have also worked with many non-Catholic and mixed-faith couples through this material. The skills, the homework, and the frameworks around communication, connection, conflict, and intimacy are deeply practical and welcoming to anyone serious about building a great marriage.
What if our marriage is in a really hard place right now?
Abundant Live is excellent for couples who feel disconnected, drifting, or stuck in recurring conflict. If you are in acute crisis (infidelity, addiction, considering separation), this can be a beautiful companion to the work you need to do, but it is not a substitute for a qualified specialist giving you the support you deserve in order to find healing. Reach out, and we can help you think through what is best.
What if we already own Abundant or The Heart of Abundant?
Welcome back! Many of our most enthusiastic Abundant Live couples will be alumni who want the live cohort experience and the renewed momentum that comes with it. The live calls and the group experience are the heart of what you are paying for here.
